Baby O Update

Very short post....went to the Dr. and I am now at 2-3 cm dialated...didn't say how far effaced I was. I did get the information that I tested negative for the Strep B virus...which means I won't get I.V. antibiotics every 4 hours like I did with Miss Kyra. Good thing..because it burned like crazy when they gave it to me....I'm sure it's because they were putting it in too fast, but never the less...I'm really glad that I tested negative this time around.

Did not talk about induction since I'm not technically full term until Thursday. Plus he thought that Baby O is trying to come early on his own. He also told me to expect to be pregnant till my next appointment which is Monday the 18th. Then if I'm at a 3 we will make the decision to send me to the hospital from there or wait a couple of days to be induced.

I have to say I'm not a patient person and it was much easier on me to just go to the hospital, stick the pit in and have a baby 13 hours later...LOL. This waiting and not knowing is a pain in the butt...LOL.

I came home after my appointment and slept for a few hours since I was up from 3:00 a.m....it was a LONG day.

So...no baby yet...stay tuned

Called the Doctor Today

I had my first "check" yesterday and found that I was 1.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. The Dr. told me that I could experience some spotting due to this check. I did not have any spotting last night but when I went to the bathroom this morning I had a "bloody show". I also believed that I lost my mucus plug. I was having some slight contractions that were wrapping back into my lower back.

I called the Dr. and they told me this was normal and that I needed to stay hydrated and keep track of his movement. He is suppose to move 3x's every 30 minutes. They also told me that if it was real labor things worsened then to call back in and it could be labor. I figured all of that but called in to have it confirmed. They did confirm too that I probably did loose my mucus plug which means that my cervix is opening, of course we already knew that from my check from last night.

So I really do feel like a ticky time bomb. This one is so much different from Kyra. Right now I'm sitting mostly and trying to keep my mind off it.

SIDENOTE: I'm going to try to keep a blog for the baby...we'll see how well that goes too:) LOL
